Harry Larter was my father and served in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War as a Radio Operator. He was a very skilled radio and television engineer. He was also an enthusiastic Radio Ham and his call sign was G3AB, which was one of the very earliest licences issued in the UK. G3AB is kept in the family and is now used by Andrew Chadwick.

There is also a second newspaper article on the same subject which we believe was in one of the national newspapers published at the same time in 1949.
